just thought there were a few of you out there that might enjoy this, what with it being halloween and all. A little indistinct with the actual words, but makes up for it with the visual:)

    Tributes are an unnamed bonus...
...so I'm stacking mine with everyone else.

Gary Gygax died yesterday. He was the inventor of a game that i have spent countless hours on. He has shaped the hobby industry in ways not thought possible. His ideas were the basis of many book series (almost all of them amazing) and a few movies (why did all of those get poorly done?). For every time someone had to calculate THAC0 or just managed their fort save, for all the potions that healed just enough to make it that one important round, for every villain that didn't count on triple 20's, thank you Gary. May your next stat rolls all be fives and sixes.

    Worry
Sometimes i worry about the strangest things, and i try to think of ways to fix them. I worry about things that have nothing to do with real life, and will affect nobody in the long run. And then, I will suddenly find a few minutes of happiness, because i discovered three pairs of clean socks, which means i dont have to do laundry til monday. But then, back to worry. Stupid worry, its 5 am, i should be worried only about sleep at this point.

And then there is all the stuff that is actual worry, which i try to not worry about, because that makes things even worse.

    On Commercials

There are good commercials, which are fun to watch. There are effective commercials, which make you want to use the service, or buy the goods. This one is both. Also, the guy has the perfect facial expressions for the situation.

    Things of Awesome
So today was the first really actually cold day of the season. After getting home from work, I realized that I had not seen my long pant since I moved home from Marquette last spring. While looking through the random piles of stuff, I found not only several pairs of pants, but also my hiking pack, my vampires stakes, my machete, my good long-sleeve shirt, and my favorite bandanna. And my juggling balls! Its amazing how much fun it is to juggle after a hiatus of such length. I am a very very happy person right now :)

    Names
I have just realized that as far as computers go, my name is hardly ever Aaron. Just seeing it in print is strange. I am almost always Sreq, or Thay, or on occasion Drafe. But having someone call me by my given name...just a little creepy. Is this a thing that happens to other people? Or did I just invent my own personal psychosis?

    On Cooking Breakfast...
What kind of eggs would you like? I can do scrambled, fried, over easy, sunny side up. I can make link or patty sausage, your choice. White toast, wheat toast, english muffins, with a variety of toppings and spreads. What was that? you want bacon? hmm, do you want it raw, or burnt?

That's pretty much how it is. Bacon is impossible for me to make well. Everyone else in the family can make it, but not I. On the plus side, that means that I probably wont die from heart failure sooner than natural.

So, just read my entire live journal. You know, i used to post alot more, sometimes multiple times a day. I'm not sure why i stopped doing that. Not that i really have the time for too many posts, or that exciting of a life...but still.

Its amazing how much ive changed in the last few years, but interesting to note what things about me have still stayed the same. I suppose everyone else is like that too. hmm, bedtime should happen now.

    Music Hunting
I love it when i can finally find a piece of music that i have heard in a movie, or on the radio, or distantly remember from tv shows. I never know the names of these pieces of music, which makes it amazingly difficult. Just to randomly come upon them is the only way. But at least now with youtube, i can find it instantly once i know the name. This is happiness. Oh, and the music today is Yakety Sax, which is apparently the end theme to the Benny Hill show. Good music = Happiness. Also, this song can make any movie clip funny when added to it. Great fun to watch, no matter what.

What is really disappointing is that it's late at night, and i cant try to figure it out on the piano. Ah well, i guess that's a sign to move out then...

ten am, and it already is messed up.
Today, i got up at 8:30 for work at 9. However, at 850, my car wouldnt start. Im pretty sure that i left the overhead light on last night. After getting help from a friendly neighbor whom i had never met, and dont know where he lives, I was on my way to work at 9:40. At 9:45 I ran into work, signed in, and then spent 10 minutes looking for a scanner. Upon finding one, I went to the back room, and was greeted with ''are you sure you´re supposed to be here? we already have someone for this shift.'' Going back to the time clock, I check the schedule, and im not due in til thursday. so. sign out, head to car, get home. Now, 5 hours of homework that i didnt get done yesterday because i was ill with flu symptoms. Who gets a flu in September? I should have stayed at Erin´s house. Things have been going down hill since i came back.

    That was a good book...
I mean, amazing book. Really amazing. The movie producers are going to have a hard time making this one work. No spoilers from me though, other than its awesomeness.

    OK, fine, minuscule spoiler )

Now to try to get rid of this sleep deprivation headache :(

So, according to what memories of random internet lore i have, two characters die in the new harry potter. Which two do you think they are going to be?

While Im slightly sure on Voldemort, its a tossup between Harry, Snape, and Malfoy(the younger one, whatever his name is. I just finished reading the series, and i cant remember his name? Thats no good.)

Also, who thinks Dumbledore is coming back? Im really on the fence on that one. That and whether or not Snape is really evil. Thats the mark of a good book, you dont know how its going to turn out. Ok, fine, some books you do know, and they are good too. And i guess some books you dont know whats going on even after you've finished(thank you for a very confusing childhood Dr. Seuss.)

Anyway, post your thoughts! Here or in your own LJ, doesnt matter, interested in everything :)

    Starwars
(setup: Chris is my friend from work. He is a starwars addict. He knows when starwars toys are coming out, and will buy them as the store opens. He has every starwars book, and game.)

So i go up to chris and say "Chris! I need to borrow your stormtrooper uniform!"

"I dont have one" says chris. "I didnt want to have to pay the $750 for it. Why do you need a stormtrooper outfit?"

"you dont have one? thats great. Now what am i supposed to wear to the midnight showing of Harry Potter?"

So my amazing plan was foiled.

Anyway, when HP6 comes out in theatres, a group of us (you're invited too!) are going to go dressed from our favorite epic movies. Pirates, hobbits, jedi, and similar. They dont make those movies anymore, so we need to dress up for something!

    Well that was fun...
This week was the start of the Pool-Football season. Its more like pool rugby i guess...combined with soccer. sorta. Anyway, its an amazingly fun game. we had 11 people playing yesterday, 3 more than the minimum needed. Teams were pretty balenced. No one got more than scratched and slightly bruised, though i did inhale enough water to sideline me for a few minutes. And Cody kicked Derek in the head, but they're brothers so its ok. I recieved the nickname "Lobster" because i wouldnt let go of the ball despite being mobbed by three people and almost drowned(not the same drowning as above). All in all, a great time. Today I hurt all over in fun and exciting ways. You may laugh, but its a good hurt.

The hurt that isnt great but also not bad is my leg. I walked into a short protruding steel pipe last night. The grass was long, it was dark, and it was right next to a telephone pole. It did a heavy grazing from my knee cap down to mid calf. It hurt much more than the car accident that i had been in 15 minutes previously.

I wasnt driving, but i was in the passenger side. My friend pulled out of a lot and was hit by a car. It happend really fast. The car was in the blind spot because of a truck with a trailer. It hit just before the back bumper, knocking the bumper off and wrecking the back tire and axle on the driver side. No one had more than seatbelt wounds, though i had a pounding headache that put me to sleep soon after I home.

I wasnt really shocked, or scared, or anything like that afterwords. I just felt this incredible sense of peace, like someone had pointed out "that could have been it for you, you know that right? But it wasnt! Isnt the sky beautiful tonight? Arent you glad that you have the chance to see the fireflies around you? Don't you wish you were with the one you loved right now?" Yes, i very much wished that, but as soon as we got back to his house and i got into my car, i felt very ill at ease, and didnt feel better til i pulled into my drive way. I was good on my way into work this morning though, so i think ill be ok.

I did want to go see Erin. But i knew that if i did, she would be up all night and I didnt want her to worry about me, cause she's going on a car trip to arizona today. Car rides are the last thing she needs to worry about. Though i will tell her today, as soon as she calls here.

The accident really moved all my priorities for me. I did realize how much time i was wasting doing useless stuff. There is a lot more that i could be doing, and enjoying it just as much. Just not today, because i still hurt from football :) I also realized that i can do alot more for other people, not just myself.

Also, halfway through harry potter 1. not sure if ill finish all of them in time. Doesnt really matter i guess, Kelsey gets to read the book first. so that will give me an extra 8 hours or so.

    Can not sleep!
So, even worse than not being able to sleep is switching between random youtube, and random wikipedia. Add that to trying to find downloads of Clarinet polka(im polish, its a legitimate interest)and Orpheus in the Underworld(who doesnt like the Infernal Gallop?) and i am thoroughly distracted. I check to see if im tired every few minutes, but not yet so far. Im sure ill pay for this in 4 hours when the family wakes up.

Speaking of family, i really need to move out...they bug me just a bit more than im used to.

    NosBrian and Onime_No_Kai,
Between the two of you, with your talk of trying to rid yourself vampire bait and avoid being turned into a zombie, I now really want to watch a string of horror movies. Shaun of the Dead, Army of Darkness, Van Helsing, Dracula, and some others.
However, I own none of these, nor do i have the time to watch them anyway. Thank you for filling my mind with undead horrors that cannot escape.

At least you've given me awesome undead-fighting dreams.
